When There’s No Time to Wait

Sometimes a refugee family arrives with very little notice, and we don’t have enough time to organize a full apartment setup. That’s where our Short-Notice Move-In Program comes in.

What may look like a pile of donated items is actually a home in the making. Volunteers help quickly gather and prepare the basics a family needs to get settled—things like bedding, kitchen essentials, household supplies, and children’s items.

We start with the essentials and then keep going. Through our Facebook community and generous neighbors, we work together to find the additional items that help turn a new space into a real home.

A short-notice move doesn’t mean a family has to start from scratch. With a little help from our community, we can help them feel welcomed, comfortable, and ready for what comes next.
